Dino Track : Suitable to Your Kids When Come to Kuala Lumpur

Bernama 2009/01/23

KUALA LUMPUR, Fri: Hollywood film icon Steven Spielberg would have been pleased. After a four-year absence, terrifying dinosaurs which roamed the Earth about 165 million years ago, have thundered back to the Petrosains Discovery Centre in the PETRONAS Twin Towers. Thanks to 'DinoTrek 2' at Level 4 of Suria KLCC, the discerning visitor is offered a glimpse into the lives of the prehistoric giants, through nine interactive animatronic dinosaurs. According to Petrosains chief executive officer Tengku Nasariah Tengku Syed Ibrahim, 'DinoTrek 2' comes with unique features which include hands-on activities meant to provide visitors with as much knowledge as possible, and yet have fun at the same time.

As they approach 'DinoTrek 2', visitors will come across a 'talking' bridge and by answering three simple questions, a gate will open to lead them back to a time when dinosaurs ruled the Earth. Once in, visitors will be enlightened and entertained by interactive themed exhibits like Dino Quest, Dino Dig, Dino Chase, Dino Dance, Dino Puzzle, Dino Colour and Dino Quiz. Participants get to reconstruct their own dinosaurs at the Build Your Own Dinosaur pavilion while the Meat and Veggie exhibits will teach them how to differentiate between the herbivores and carnivores among the dinosaurs, and 'feed' them, accordingly.

The Petrosains Discovery Centre is PETRONAS' social commitment in providing a rich and stimulating environment to enhance science literacy and appreciation for society and the nation, at large.

Opening hours are from 9.30am to 6pm from Tuesday to Sunday. The centre is closed on Mondays.
